OUR POLICIES

If your reservation is part of a Room Block, please view the  Group Booking Policies towards the end of this section.

PAYMENT
Reservations are confirmed with a payment of 50% of the total price as a deposit at the time of booking. Deposits will be refunded (less a $75 cancellation fee) for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to reservation.
Full reservation payment will be required on cancellations made within 14 days of the reservation date.

CHECK IN – CHECK OUT
We have self check-in anytime after 3 pm. Self check-in instructions will be sent via text message the day of check-in. Call our office at 830-997-8615 with any questions.

Check out is anytime until 11 am.
Late checkouts must be approved and are subject to an additional charge.

Additional Breakfast
If you wish to order extra breakfast, you must alert our team at least 24 hours in advance and the cost is $25.  

CANCELLATION POLICY
Hill Country Herb Garden is a family owned and operated property. Due to the small size of our facility, cancellations can greatly affect our business. Therefore, we must uphold our cancellation policy without exception. Please verify your travel plans before confirming your booking. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• If you cancel 14 days or less prior to your confirmed arrival date no refund will be issued, and you will be responsible for the entire reservation amount.

• If you cancel 15 days or more prior to your confirmed arrival date, your deposit will be refunded in full minus a $75 cancellation fee which will be charged to the credit card on file.

• Refunds will not be issued for no shows, late arrivals, early departures, or cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date regardless of the circumstances. There are no exceptions to this policy, including illness, family emergencies, or inclement weather. Our Cancellation Policies remain in effect regardless of weather conditions that may impact travel.

CREDIT CARDS
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express welcome. All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card. If booking through a third-party booking site with a virtual card, a valid credit card will be required upon arrival for incidentals.

SMOKING
Hill Country Herb Garden is a 100% smoke free environment, which means absolutely no smoking of any kind anywhere on the property! Guests will be financially responsible ($500) for any cleaning or damage caused by smoking and will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.

PLUMBING POLICY

To protect the property’s plumbing systems, guests agree to flush only toilet paper and human waste. The following items are strictly prohibited from being flushed: Feminine hygiene products, Baby wipes or “flushable” wipes (they aren’t really flushable!), Paper towels, diapers or sanitary products or any foreign objects. If a plumbing issue occurs and prohibited items are found, the Guest agrees to a minimum $1,200 repair and service charge, which may be charged to the card on file. Additional damages exceeding this amount will be billed accordingly.

DAMAGE DISCLAIMER
Our goal is to provide a unique experience for each guest, so we take pride in our linens, furnishings, decor, etc. Please report any spills or damage immediately. We reserve the right to charge for excess cleaning, damages, repairs or replacement costs as we deem necessary. Any fees will be charged to the card on file without prior approval or notification.

Hill Country Herb Garden is not responsible for loss of money, jewelry, or other valuables. Any items left after your departure can be returned to you for the cost of shipping + a $10 administrative fee. Any items not claimed after 30 days will be donated.

PETS
Pets are NOT allowed on the property, including emotional support animals.  We can only accommodate service animals who are ADA Certified.  A $500 fee will be charged to the credit card on file for any unauthorized pets found on property and you will be asked to vacate the premises.

Your confirmed reservation with Hill Country Herb Garden will constitute understanding and acceptance of the stated policies.

NO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING

At this time, we do not offer on-site charging stations for electric vehicles. For the comfort and safety of all guests, plugging vehicles into any power source is not permitted, as it can disrupt electrical service across the property. Any vehicle found charging on property will incur a $300 incidental fee. We appreciate your understanding and help in caring for our property and fellow guests. We recommend charging at the local HEB or exploring other charging options available in town.

GROUP BOOKING POLICIES
To reserve a group lodging block, a $500 nonrefundable deposit, to be applied to a cottage of your choice, and a signed contract financially guaranteeing all 14 cottages for a two (2) night minimum stay is required. For reservations being made less than 90 days in advance, a 50% deposit on all 14 cottages is required. The Garden House may be booked directly, but will not be added to a Group Block.

All lodging policies apply to Group Bookings, except for the Payment and Cancellation Policies. Unique payment and cancellation policies apply to group bookings. 

  • At 90 days out from your reservation, our team will update you on how many units remain unbooked in your block.
  • At 60 days out from your reservation, a 50% deposit will be due for any unbooked rooms.
  • At 14 days our from your reservation, the final balance for all 14 cottages is due.
  • Deposits previously paid by the Client/Point of Contact toward these accommodations are non-refundable and will not be reimbursed by Herb Garden. The Client is solely responsible for coordinating and collecting any reimbursement directly from their guests for deposits or payments made on their behalf.
  • If someone in your group block cancels their reservation 15 days or more before their stay, the initial deposit is not refundable and the remaining balance is still due. This is per room.
  • If someone in your group cancels their reservation 14 days or less before their stay, no refund will be issued. This is per room.
  • If you are arranging a group booking less than 90 days in advance, 50% is due at booking to hold the units in your block. At 14 days ahead of your reservation, the final balance will be due.
  • Group Lodging pricing is specifically for room blocks and reflects the coordination and management required for group reservations. While our direct booking site’s pricing may sometimes appear different, ‘Group Lodging’ provides dedicated group management and our team’s assistance in coordinating additional amenities and activities for your group’s experience.
